Last Sunday was the superbowl. In order to mentally prepare, Christeen and I surrounded ourselves with yarn and hot chocolate. Of course, nothing can truly prepare one for watching a very long football game that they are not really interested in. Were it not for all of the yummy snacks, and the promise of Monday Crochet the next evening, we may not have survived. But we did, and we were rewarded with an extra special Monday Crochet.
There were 5 of us at The Point, including 2 lovely beginners and our resident knitter. I did not work on much but enjoyed teaching Katie some crochet. On the opposite side of the table, Christeen worked with her pupil, Aly. Stephanie knitted away at a scarf she can’t wait to finish.
I’m happy to say that both girls went home with new crochet hooks and practice yarn. I love where this is going.
I’ve also got a student (hi Jenn!) out on Long Island, who is ready to take on the granny square and make a baby blankie for her friend. Another happy occurrence! We’ll be working on that this weekend.
Oh and Christeen finished her bolero and it is beautiful! She will be blogging it soon. I love it so much that I ordered the same yarn (different color) to make my own. That and much more is in the works.

I am ready to start the blankie, can’t wait~!
