Monday, Monday…

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Tonight I was in a bit of a rut, so decided to whip out the trusty Pretty Puffs Slouch Hat pattern, and make myself a hat but without the puffs.  I realize now what a wise decision that was.  You see, I then spent a good hour and a half “in the zone” – stitching round after round after round with no desire to stop. I wasn’t in a crochet trance (that happens) but it felt methodical, good…  I chatted a bit with Christeen and Stephanie (the knitter who we are pleased to have crashing Monday Crochet)… and sipped the last drops of my chamomile tea (which is quite tasty at The Point!)

I did have to put down my hook at 8pm, aka closing time.  But that was really okay – we needed some food.  So, we tried Noodle Bar, which is just down the street from the knitting cafe.  I filled my belly with some fabulous shrimp wonton and went home very happy (to finish my hat).

Such good things… even on a Monday!
